When you are at your cottage, country house or anywhere you don’t have Wifi but you want to play a game with a friend that also owns an iDevice you can play games or send files to each other using a fake Wifi!

1. You will need to download MyWi from cydia. Make sure you download the No Rock version. You can get it from the Xsellize repo or you can use the download link below (This app should be installed on a device that HAS Bluetooth)

2. If you downloaded the emulator from the first link, refer to this tutorial on how to install .DEB files : Installing .DEB Files
3. Make sure you turn on Bluetooth in the Settings App
   
4. Once you have installed it launch the application
5. You are now going to make your fake Wifi network using your bluetooth connection
6. In “Wifi Name”, change it to whatever you want. In this case, We called it Network Test
   
7. Leave the Wifi Channel as is. If ever you are having trouble connecting change the channel to another one and test again
8. You can add a security key if you don’t want anybody else to log in to your fake network
9. Make sure USB and Bluetooth is set to “On”
10. You can now turn on Wifi Tethering – At the bottom you will see (Status: MyWi Broadcasting “Network Test”)
    
11. Wait until the Wifi logo appears at the top of the status bar
    
12. On the other device, Go to Settings and Wi-Fi and select The network Name you chose. On the device where MyWi is running, You can close the app because it runs in the background
    
13. Wait for the Wifi logo to appear on the other device
14. You can now either play games together or transfer files using the Wifi transfer feature in iFile

The reason the title is Install0us with a 0 and not a o is because the creator of Installous 1.0, puy0, has gone independent. This tutorial is about install0us 2.5 since version 3.0 is not officially released. When it will be released, another tutorial will be made but for now this is what it is

After you have followed this tutorial, Go back to your Springboard and select the install0us icon

After the app loads, you will see a blank screen, 4 tabs at the bottom. (Browse, Downloads, Settings and About)

The Browse tab:

This tab will allow you to enter a URL and be able to browse websites that give out cracked IPA files (Games and Apps)

For example appulo.us/appdb.

You may also notice that there is a little icon that looks like a house. That is because you will be able to set your Home Page so that when you click on that icon it brings you back to the page you want. You will also find the forward and go back buttons and the refresh page button.

The Downloads tab:

When you find an app of game you want, you have to download it in order to install it. You can have multiples downloads at the same time if you want. When you are downloading a file, a little number on top of the tab will appear to tell you how many files you are downloading. Once it finished downloading, it will automatically install the app if it is set so in the settings tab.

If ever you want to access your IPA file through SSH, the files are stored in /var/mobile/Downloads.

There are 3 easy ways to delete an IPA file.

1. You can either set Automatic delete on in the settings tab. This will delete the IPA automatically when it is done installing. (We suggest turning it off and deleting the apps manually)
2. You can also click on the edit button on the top right of the Downloads tab and then click on the little red icons and finally press on delete.
3. One last way to delete an app from the Downloads tab is by just swiping your finger on the app you want to delete and then select delete.

To reinstall an app if it is not deleted, just select the app and then select install

The Settings tab:

The Settings tab contains 3 different section.

1. Browser
2. Installation
3. Misc

In the Browser section you will find Home URL followed by “http://”
Here you can set your Home Page for the “Browser ” tab for example http://appulo.us/appdb

In the Installation Section you will find:

1. Automatic Install
   • If set to On, Once an app has finished downloading, it will install it automatically
   • If set to Off, Once the Download is finished you will have to go to the Downloads tab, select your app and then click on Install
2. Automatic Delete
   • If set to On, After the file has finished installing, it will immediately delete the downloaded file
   • If set to Off, You will have to manually delete the file, you will then have a backup of the installation if ever you change something the app and it doesn’t work anymore.

In the Misc Section you will find:

1. iTunes Sync
   1. If set to On, When you are going to plug your iPod to your computer, iTunes will ask you if you want to Transfer Purchases. This is completely safe to do and by doing it, if ever you need to restore your device, after jailbreaking your device and patching it, you will be able to sync all the apps back
   2. If set to Off, no apps will be transfered to the computer and if ever you have to restore and jailbreak your device, you will have to install all your apps manually.

The About Tab:

Here you will find all the latest news and updates for install0us, links to the creators forum and more.

Almost any game these days come with cheats in order to make us have more fun, to help us a specific level or just to finish the game in a breeze

The iPod video games also have cheats and here they are

Texas Hold ‘em Cheats:

1. Go to the “Options” menu and select “New Player”
2. Enter the cheat code you wish to use.
3. Go to the check-mark button and hold down the iPod’s center button.
4. The word “Secret” will appear across the screen.

Codes:

YOUCHEAT – Brings up a secret menu that gives you 5 cheating options

1. Unlock all tournaments
2. Start with 100k
3. Always show tells
4. Show down cards
5. Adjusting the “All Fold” to often, normal or never.

ALLCHARS – Allows you to see secret characters

BARTUNES – iTunes bar interface

THREEAMI – Apple conference room interface

BIGROCKS – Stonehenge tournament

PLAYDOGS – Tournament with dogs

SPACEACE – Futuristic tournament with aliens.

Vortex Cheats:

1. Exit all games and go to the main menu of the game
2. Go to the “Personal Info” tab
3. Select “Rename” and type in one of the codes below.
4. Hold down the center button until the cheat activates. A “Cheat On” message should appear

Note: The underscores in the codes below stand for spaces

Codes:

ME_PAZ – Activates the laser power-up

I_GUNZ – Activates the gun power-up

FORSIX – Gives you 24 lives

_PWR_B – Activates the Powerball

NO_ID_ -  Unlocks special backgrounds

What is iGPSP?

iGPSP is a Gameboy Advance Emulator for the iPod touch so that you can play “.GBA” roms
Caution: iGPSP runs at about half the regular speed therefore the gaming experience won’t be as good as playing a real Gameboy Advance

Prerequisites: iPodLinux and Bootloader

2. Save to a place you will remember
3. Make sure your iPod video is connected
4. Go to Start > my computer > “Your iPod”
5. Extract the content of the zip file inside your iPod so that it looks like this



6. Make sure these files, Except “zelda.gba”, are in the GBA folder



7. Search on Google for .gba Roms and Download somewhere you will remember (The file has to have .gba extension)
8. Drag and Drop the rom into the GBA folder
9. Go back to the iPod Root
10. Open the Loader.cfg with wordpad
11. Add this line between “iPodLinux” and “Sleep”

If you want sound to play (Might be slower) add this line

1. iGPSP @ (hd0,1)/linux.bin /mnt/igpsp-with-sound

If you do not want sound add this line

2. iGPSP @ (hd0,1)/linux.bin /mnt/GBA/igpsp-no-sound



12. Save the loader.cfg file and reboot your iPod by pressing Menu + center
13. Select iGPSP from the menu

If you want to load another game while on iGPSP

1. Switch on and switch off the lock button and a menu will appear
2. Go to Load new Game
3. Select your new game and Voila!

iGPSP Problems

Not All Roms work with IGPSP. All the Pokemon games don’t work sorry.

In the igpSP menu, the default controls are as followed:
MENU = up
PAUSE/PLAY = down
REWIND = left (on settings)
FAST FORWARD = right (on settings)
CENTRE = selection (of menu item)
HOLD SWITCH = exit menu

In the igpSP menu, if the “Menu scrolling” setting is “On”:
SCROLL LEFT = up
SCROLL RIGHT = down
REWIND = left (on settings)
FAST FORWARD = right (on settings)
CENTRE = selection (of menu item)
MENU = exit menu

In-game, controls are based on wheel touches as well as key
presses. They are as followed.
TOUCH UP = up
TOUCH DOWN = down
TOUCH LEFT = left
TOUCH RIGHT = right
TOUCH UP-RIGHT = A
TOUCH UP-LEFT = B
TOUCH DOWN-RIGHT = start
TOUCH DOWN-LEFT = select
MENU = up + B

HOLD SWITCH = enter menu

In game, if the “Map L/R Triggers” setting is “On”:
REWIND = left trigger
FAST FORWARD = right trigger

In game, if the “Rapid Fire A & B” setting is “On”:
TOUCH UP-RIGHT = A (rapid fire)
TOUCH UP-LEFT = B (rapid fire)

Note that igpSP sometimes freezes when exiting. The
cause of this is unknown but I suspect it is due to
synchronization issues for COP (but I’m not sure).
If this happens, just force reboot your iPod

This is the simplest tutorial on installing ipod linux on your 5G or 5.5G

Alright get ready

1. Download this file
2. Unzip the file
3. Now Double-Click on the iPodLinuxManager folder
   
4. Double-Click the iPodLinux Manager.bat file



5. This window will pop-up and click on Next



When clicking on Next you might encounter some ERRORS , If you do:

1. Make sure your iPod is plugged
2. Keep pressing Retry and it should work

6. This command prompt window should appear and it should add a lot of files to your iPod



7. When it is done click on Finish



8. When it is done rebooting Select iPodLinux wait until it loads

How to Install Extra Modules (Programs/Games)

To go see the modules,

1. Make sure your iPod is plugged
2. Click on start

5. Double-Click on the userland folder

6. Open the file called modules_enable.txt and in there type the name of the module you want to install (The name of the module is the same as the modules folder in the userland/modules)

“Ie: lets say there is a module in the modules folder called avalanche2939 in the modules_enable.txt you will have to write avalanche2939″

OR you can open the readme file in the iplconfig folder and follow it

Installing Schemes (Themes)

The iPodLinux scheme website is currently not working so you cant download any scheme but here is a tutorial on how to add them

1. Go to the official scheme site
2. Download a scheme you like.
3. Extract it to somewhere you will remember
4. Go to the userland folder in your iPod
5. Double-Click on the Schemes folder
6. Drag and drop the extracted scheme to this folder.
7. Make your iPod go into Linux mode
8. Go to Settings>appearance>Color Scheme> your scheme

How to Remove the MPD/MPDC Error When iPodLinux Starts

Mpd and Mpdc are music and video playing modules for ipod linux. Unfortunately, they do not always work on ipod videos. With Apple OS and Rockbox, you don’t really need it. follow the short list below to remove the pointless function

1. Go to your ipod root and open the folder “iplconfig” then go to “modules_disable.txt” and open it with notepad
2. Type the following:
   mpd
   mpdc
3. Make sure you pushed enter so that each is on its own line
4. Save the changes and exit.
5. Reboot your iPod and open iPodLinux to test. When it is loading, you shouldn’t get the MPD/MPDC error anymore.

How to uninstall iPodLinux

Just go into your iPod root and delete the folders related to iPodwizard. MAKE SURE NOT TO DELETE ANY OTHER you might delete precious information

The folders to delete are

userland, sbin, proc, iplconfig, etc, dev, and linux.bin

and thats it!

Note: Before you start this tutorial, in iTunes, make sure the “Sync games” checkbox, under the Games Tab, is not checked or your games will be deleted when iTunes opens.

First you need to know whether you have a 5G iPod, or a 5.5G iPod.

To know if you have a 5G or a 5.5g just go to music and scroll down. If you see the Search option, you have a 5.5G if not then its a 5G

IF YOU LOAD THE WRONG FIRMWARE YOU MAY RUIN YOUR iPod but it can easily be fixed by applying the CORRECT firmware a few times.

Now the steps:

1. Plug your iPod to the computer and access it, enable hidden folders and go to: /ipod_control. Create a folder called Games_RO.
2. Open each game ZIP. Drag the numbered folder to Games_RO.
2. Download iPodWizard 1.3 at the bottom. Start it up. You may need to right click>run as administrator to get it to work.
3. Change the edit mode to “Firmware File”.
4. Download the proper firmware for your 5G or your 5.5G iPod at the right. Extract it, then load it in iPW.
5. Click “Write to iPod”.

6.Eject/Unplug your iPod and your have all 20 games!

NOTE: If you have a theme on your iPod, or extra screens, or anything else, you may want to save it with iPodWizard first, and then once you write your firmware you can change everything back.
