Well, I got to this tutorial, and it is giving me some trouble. At first, it didn't like the font itself, but it has moved on from that. So far as I can tell, I have patched the font successfully. However, when I load the string, it gives me an error about string lengths screwing up the iPod, and when I eject and reboot, it still looks the same.

Oh yeah, your tutorials are really easy to follow, I wasn't contesting that. I'm just leery of using iPodWizard without knowing how to restore my bootloader so I don't have to restore the iPod and reload Rockbox and ZeroSlackr.

Granted, I haven't checked to see if you can hack this kind of stuff (icons and other Ipodwizard firmware hacks) and then install Rockbox... Maybe when you write the zeroSlackr tutorial you can just say: Hey guys, check out some of the other hacks before you do this.

Also, getting Custom WADs on iDoom would be nice.

I'm about to replace my battery (another tutorial idea) so that my iPod Video will last more than 10 minutes. Wish me luck!

Hey! Thanks for commenting. I will take in consideration everything you have written in your comment. I will post a screen shot as soon as possible but trust me. All these tutorials have been tested by me on an ipod video 5.5g and everything was flawless. Just make sure to read everything and to not skip any lines. We wrote the tutorials so that they are easy to understand. I will also research on zeroSlackr and write a tutorial about it very soon and finally as for the iTouch hack I don't think you can apply it to the 1.3Fw but I will also research on that.

Thanks and finally if you have any other comments just post them here!

Screenshot of icons?

Yesterday, I tried a patch with iPod Wizard that made it look more like an iPod Touch interface. It was really cool, but sadly, it made my bootloader go away, and it was based on firmware 1.2.1 and my MP4 videos no longer played. Here's the guide I used:http://kenmc.com/2008/02/22/ipod-hack-ipod-video-to-ipod-touch-how-to/

1. You should put a notice in these tutorials for whether or not it will downgrade your iPod or remove your hacked bootloader.

2. You should do a zeroSlackr tutorial, and give information on how to restore the bootloader.

3. If at all possible, check out the iTouch hack, and see if you can get it running on 1.3FW with all hacks going.

I really appreciate that you guys have up to date tutorials, but I hope you consider my suggestions, please. :)
